About this policy
This policy explains how whytebloom.com uses cookies and similar technologies. Whytebloom is a trading name of Net Werth Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 12718042, registered office International House, 64 Nile Street, London N1 7SR. You can contact us at hello@whytebloom.com.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage, also store or read information on your device. The law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) normally requires a website to ask for your consent before storing or reading information on your device, unless an exception applies. The main exception is where it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for.
What we use today
Our own site code does not set any cookies, and it does not use local storage or similar technologies to store information on your device. We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools. The outside services we use may store or read information on your device for security only, as explained below. This is strictly necessary and does not need your consent, which is why we do not show you a cookie banner.
Free course previews and the example timetable on our pages run in your browser and are cleared when you close or leave the page.
Services that load on our pages
The fonts on our pages are stored on our own website, not loaded from an outside font service. One outside service loads on our pages:
- Cloudflare Turnstile. Our contact and quote forms use Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated program, is sending the form. To do this, it may read and store information in your browser while the check runs. This is strictly necessary to protect the form you are using, so it does not need your consent.
Our host, Cloudflare, may set a cookie to protect the site from attacks or automated traffic, for example if it needs to check that a visitor is not a bot. Any such cookie is strictly necessary for security and does not track you across other websites.
When you buy or sign in
When our study platform and online payment go live, we expect to use the following:
- A sign-in cookie, which keeps you signed in to your account as you move between pages. It is deleted when you sign out or when it expires.
- Cookies set by Stripe, our payment provider, when you pay. Stripe uses them to process your payment securely and to prevent fraud.
- Our video provider, Bunny Stream, may store or read information in your browser so that course videos play when you ask for them, and possibly to remember settings such as volume.
Before they go live, we will check the purpose of each one and update this policy with its name, purpose and how long it lasts. Anything needed only to provide what you ask for (signing in, paying securely, playing a video) is strictly necessary. Anything that is not, such as remembering optional settings, will either meet another exception in the law, with a simple way for you to refuse it, or we will ask for your consent first.
If we ever want to use analytics or any other cookies or similar technologies that need consent, we will ask for your consent first with a clear choice to accept or reject, and we will update this policy.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site, such as signing in or paying, may not work. Your browser's help pages explain how to manage cookies.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if we change the cookies or similar technologies we use. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
