Terms

1. About us and these terms
Whytebloom is a trading name of Net Werth Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 12718042. Our registered office is International House, 64 Nile Street, London N1 7SR. You can contact us at hello@whytebloom.com. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Net Werth Ltd, and "you" means the person buying or using our services.
Online payment and sign-in to our study platform open at launch. Until then, we take orders by email, and the parts of these terms about paying online and signing in will apply from launch.
These terms apply when you use whytebloom.com and when you buy any of our courses or tutoring. Please read them before you buy. Our privacy notice and cookie policy explain how we use personal data.
If you buy as a consumer (as an individual acting wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession), you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Nothing in these terms takes away those rights. Section 14 explains the different terms that apply when a firm buys for its staff.
2. Independent provider, and no pass guarantee
Whytebloom is an independent provider of exam preparation. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). You book and pay for your exam with CISI separately, and CISI's own rules apply to your exam.
All our study materials are our own. We work hard to keep them accurate and in line with the current exam syllabus, but we cannot promise that you will pass. Your result depends on your own study and performance on the day. The free repeat weekend described in section 7 is the only promise we make linked to your result.
3. What we sell
- Online courses: Concept Videos, Chapter Summaries, revision questions, Mock Tests and a personal study timetable for your chosen exam, with 12 months' access.
- Online courses with tutor support: the online course plus access to a tutor on WhatsApp for 12 months.
- Weekend live revision courses: a Saturday and Sunday of live teaching on Zoom.
- Private tutoring: one-to-one sessions, sold in packs of 10 hours or 20 hours.
Our website describes what each option includes and its price. The description shown when you buy forms part of your contract.
4. Buying from us
When you place an order, you are offering to buy. Our contract with you starts when we confirm your order by email. If we cannot accept your order, for example because a weekend course is full, we will tell you and will not charge you, or we will refund you in full if you have already paid.
Please check your order before you pay. If you notice a mistake, email us as soon as possible.
5. Prices and payment
Our prices are in pounds sterling. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices. The price you pay is the price shown when you buy.
When you buy online, you pay in full at the time of your order by card through our payment provider, Stripe. Firms can also pay by invoice (see section 14).
If we make an obvious mistake with a price, for example showing a course at a fraction of its real price, we will tell you before your access starts and you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
6. Online courses
Your access
Your access lasts 12 months from the day it starts. We will tell you the end date when you sign in. You sign in with a link we email to you.
Your access is for you alone. You must not share your sign-in, or copy, download (other than where we offer a download for your own study), sell, share or publish any of our materials. Our materials are protected by copyright and belong to us or the people who license them to us. You may use them only for your own personal study.
We may update course materials during your access, for example to reflect a new syllabus. Updates will keep to the agreed course description and what your purchase includes. Any change to that description, or to other details you relied on when you bought, needs your express agreement.
Tutor support on WhatsApp
If you choose the option with tutor support, you can send your tutor questions about your course on WhatsApp during your 12 months' access. We answer within one working day. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm UK time, except UK bank holidays. A message sent outside these hours counts as received at the start of the next working day.
Tutor support is for questions about your exam and our course, under a fair use policy. This means we may ask you to group your questions, or to book private tutoring instead, if your use is far beyond what a typical candidate needs, for example a large number of messages each day, or requests for teaching that would amount to tutoring sessions. We will always explain why before we limit anything.
You need a WhatsApp account to use tutor support. WhatsApp's own terms apply to your use of WhatsApp.
7. Weekend live revision courses
How they work
Weekend courses run live on Zoom on a Saturday and Sunday. We will email you the timetable and joining details before the weekend. You need a device with a reliable internet connection and the Zoom app or a web browser.
We record each weekend course. The recording is available to the participants of that weekend for 30 days after the course, and then deleted. You can keep your camera off and use a first name only if you prefer.
Minimum numbers
A weekend course needs at least 3 participants to run. If fewer than 3 people have booked by 10 days before the weekend, we will tell you and you can choose one of these:
- a place on a later weekend course for the same exam;
- 4 hours of private tutoring instead; or
- a full refund.
Free repeat weekend if you do not pass
If you attend a weekend course and do not pass the exam it prepared you for, you can attend a later weekend course for the same exam free of charge. To claim this, email us a copy of your exam result within 3 months of receiving it. You must have attended both days of the weekend course and sat the exam at the next sitting you had booked. The repeat weekend is subject to availability and must be taken within 6 months of your result.
If we need to cancel or move a weekend
If we cancel a weekend course for any reason, including too few bookings, you can have a full refund. If we need to change the dates, you can move to the new dates or have a full refund.
8. Private tutoring
Private tutoring is sold in packs of 10 hours or 20 hours. Sessions take place online by video call at times we agree with you. You can use your hours in sessions of any length we agree, of at least one hour.
You can use your hours within 6 months of buying the pack. Any hours not used after 6 months will expire.
If you need to move or cancel a session, please tell us at least 24 hours before it starts and the hours will stay in your pack. If you give less notice or do not attend, the booked hours will be used, unless there is a good reason, such as illness or an emergency, that we accept. If your tutor needs to cancel, the hours stay in your pack and we will offer another time.
9. Your right to cancel
These cancellation rights apply if you buy as a consumer. They are in addition to your other legal rights. To cancel, email hello@whytebloom.com with your name and the course you bought, or use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms. You do not have to give a reason.
Online courses
You can cancel for a full refund within 14 days after the day you buy, as long as you have not started any sessions or downloaded anything. Once you have started a session or downloaded any material, we cannot give a refund, because of the digital nature of our products. This does not affect your rights if a course is faulty or not as described.
If you buy the option with tutor support, you can still cancel the tutor support part within 14 days after the day you buy, even if you have started the course. We refund the tutor support part, which is the difference between the price with tutor support and the price without it, less a fair amount for any support you have already used.
Weekend live revision courses
You get a full refund if we cancel, or if you cancel at least 10 days before the weekend.
You also have the legal right to cancel within 14 days after the day you book. If you cancel in that time and the weekend has not started, we will give you a full refund, even if it is less than 10 days before the weekend. If you book less than 14 days before the weekend, we will ask you to confirm that you want the course to be provided within the 14 days. If you give that confirmation and then cancel after the course starts, you must pay a proportionate amount for the part you have already had. If you also confirmed that you understand you will lose your right to cancel once the course has been fully provided, you cannot cancel after that.
Weekend courses and private tutoring include the online course
Weekend courses and private tutoring packs include the online course. If you cancel either of them after you have opened the included online course, the online course part is not refunded: we deduct the price of the online course for that exam (without tutor support) from any refund under this section.
Private tutoring
You can cancel within 14 days after the day you buy. If you have not had any sessions, we will give you a full refund. If you expressly asked for sessions to start within those 14 days, we will refund the price less a proportionate amount for the hours you have already had, worked out at the same hourly rate as your pack. If you also confirmed that you understand you will lose your right to cancel once all the hours have been used, you cannot cancel after that.
If you cancel your tutoring pack after the 14 days, we will refund the hours you have not used, less any reasonable loss our business suffers directly because you cancelled, such as a session we could not rebook at short notice. We will take reasonable steps to keep that loss low and explain any deduction. Your other legal rights still apply.
How we refund you
We will refund you to the payment method you used, without undue delay and within 14 days after the day you tell us you are cancelling. We do not charge a fee for refunds.
10. If something goes wrong
If you are a consumer, the law says the digital content we supply (our online course materials) must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and our services (such as tutor support, weekend courses and private tutoring) must be provided with reasonable care and skill. If they are not, you may be entitled to a repair, a repeat of the service or, in some cases, a price reduction or refund. If faulty digital content damages your device or other digital content, and this happened because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you compensation.
Please tell us about any problem at hello@whytebloom.com so that we can put it right. Citizens Advice can give you more information about your legal rights.
We aim to keep the website and study platform available at all times, but there may be short interruptions for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. If you lose a significant amount of access because of a problem on our side, we will extend your access to make up for it.
11. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious it will happen or if, when the contract was made, both you and we knew it might happen.
We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for things outside our reasonable control, such as a failure of the internet, Zoom or WhatsApp. If something outside our control affects your course, we will tell you and do what we can to reduce the effect.
We do not exclude or limit our responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breaking your legal rights as a consumer.
If you are a consumer, we only supply our services for your own study and personal use. If you use them for a business purpose, we are not responsible to you for any loss of profit, loss of business or loss of business opportunity.
12. Ending or suspending your access
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by sharing your sign-in or copying our materials, or if you are abusive to our tutors or other participants. We will usually warn you first and give you a chance to stop. If we end your access because you have broken these terms, we will refund what you have paid for access or services you have not yet had, less any reasonable loss our business suffers directly because of the breach. We will take reasonable steps to keep that loss low and explain any deduction.
13. Using our website
You may use our website and free previews for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy our materials, try to get around how the previews limit access, interfere with the website's security, or use automated tools to collect content from it.
The information on our website is general information to help you choose a course. Exam details, such as fees and resit rules, are set by the exam body and can change, so please check them with the exam body before you rely on them.
Our website may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content.
14. Firms buying for their staff
This section applies when a business (a "firm") buys for its staff. The rest of these terms also apply, except section 9 (the consumer cancellation rights) and any other parts that apply only to consumers.
- Our quote is valid for 30 days. The contract starts when the firm accepts our quote in writing, or pays.
- Access starts once we receive payment or agree invoice payment terms with the firm.
- Unless we agree otherwise in writing, our invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date.
- Each place is for one named member of staff. The firm may move an unused place to another member of staff before that place's access starts, by telling us in writing.
- The firm must make sure it is allowed to give us its staff's names and work email addresses, and that its staff know we will receive them. Our privacy notice explains how we use them.
- If we agree to report on staff progress, we will agree what we report when the firm buys.
- The firm can cancel the order for a full refund at any time before any member of its staff has opened a course or attended a session. After that, places that have been used are not refundable.
- Our total responsibility to a firm under each contract is limited to the amount the firm paid under that contract. We are not responsible to a firm for loss of profit, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss. This does not limit responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time, for example to reflect a change in the law or in our services. Changes apply to future purchases. The terms that apply to you are the ones in force when you bought. We will not change the agreed description of a course you have already bought, or other terms you agreed to when you bought, without your express agreement.
16. Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything we have done, please email hello@whytebloom.com. We will reply within 5 working days and aim to resolve your complaint within 14 days.
17. Other important terms
We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to another organisation. We will tell you if this happens and make sure your rights are not affected.
Only you and we have rights under these terms. No one else can enforce them.
If a court decides that part of these terms is not valid, the rest will still apply.
If we do not insist straight away that you do something you are required to do under these terms, that does not stop us from asking you to do it later.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings about our services in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring proceedings in Scotland, and if you live in Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.
